At New Direction Health Care Solutions, we are thrilled to welcome Dr. Megan Edwards to our community. Dr. Edwards, recently appointed as the new Public Health Officer at the Knox County Health Department (KCHD), brings a wealth of clinical and academic experience.
KCHD Senior Director Kevin Parton expressed excitement about Dr. Edwards joining the team, highlighting her years of service and expertise. A graduate of the University of Tennessee and East Tennessee State University’s Quillen College of Medicine, Dr. Edwards specializes in Infectious Diseases and holds an academic appointment with the UT Graduate School of Medicine.
Before her role at The University of Tennessee Medical Center, Dr. Edwards practiced medicine at Maine Medical Center and Baystate Medical Center in Massachusetts. Her diverse background includes academic appointments at Tufts University, and she is board certified in Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, and Adult Infectious Diseases.
