New Direction’s Day of Service: Bringing Holiday Blessings to Newport, TN
On Tuesday, December 17, 2024, New Direction Health Care Solutions is leading its third relief effort to support the community of Newport, TN, which was deeply impacted by Hurricane Helena this past September.
This Day of Service will take place at New Zion AME Zion Church from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM (or until supplies run out). We are committed to helping our neighbors rebuild and bring some holiday warmth to families in need.
What We’re Bringing:
- Warm Clothing Items (gloves, hats, socks, rain boots, t-shirts, etc.)
- Health Support & Vaccines – Cherokee Health Systems
- Food Bags – Second Harvest
- Fresh Produce – Humana
- Toys for Kids – I Am the Voice of the Voiceless (more toys are still needed!)
- Food & Water – FISH
- Personal Hygiene Items – Local churches and NAACP
- Buckets of Cleaning Supplies – Ongoing donations needed
Additionally, we will be serving hot meals to everyone who comes to pick up supplies.
This is a community effort, and we are calling on everyone to help us make this “Holiday Blessing” a success!
- Spread the word to families in Newport who could use supplies.
- Donate warm clothing, cleaning supplies, or toys to brighten someone’s holiday season.
We are grateful to our partners and volunteers who are working hard to make this day possible, but we still need your help.
Let’s give hope and holiday cheer to our neighbors in Newport.
