Reflecting on a Day of Gratitude and Service: Thanksgiving at East Knoxville Free Medical Clinic

On November 25, 2024, the true spirit of Thanksgiving was vividly alive at the East Knoxville Free Medical Clinic (EKFMC). It wasn’t just about the turkey and the trimmings; it was a celebration of service, community, and heartfelt giving.

This special day was marked by a sumptuous Thanksgiving meal, generously prepared and served by the dedicated kitchen crew and numerous volunteers. It was a day where resources were shared, and everyone was treated with the utmost kindness, respect, and love.

We shared moments of prayer and reflection, truly thankful for the opportunity to care for and support one another. It was a day to acknowledge and appreciate all those who continually support the mission of EKFMC, including Vernon Davis, CAC, the Missionary AME Church, and our team at New Direction.

Thanksgiving is more than just a holiday; it’s a call to serve others and give back to the community. We are grateful for every hand that helped and every smile shared. Thank you to everyone involved for making this Thanksgiving one filled with joy and community spirit.

God bless all, and may this season of giving inspire us all to carry the spirit of Thanksgiving throughout the year. Happy Giving!
